Python 3.9 entered EndOfLife in 2026

I use RipX 8.0.3 (Dec 2025). It's using Python 3.9.
On https://python.org/downloads it was announced that Python 3.9 has enters it's end of life at the end of 2025

So are there plans to update RipX's Python version yet?

Separate Music into all instruments and vocals?

When splitting stems I usually prefer just two stems: all instruments in one stem and the vocal in another.

In RipX DAW, I can only find a way to split each instrument into its own stem, plus a vocal stem. So I get a bass stem, a guitar stem, a strings stem, etc.

Is there a way to get all the instruments in one stem file and the vocals in a 2nd stem file?

Split a note using the API

Hi,

in the documentation there is a reference to a split_at method associated to a note object. However I cannot see it in the interactive help (intelisense) and when I invoke I get an error stating that the note object has no split_at attribute ...

Am I missing something?

MIDI not showing as export option

Perhaps I'm making an error...is there an export scenario where it would be expected that MIDI is not given as an option? I've tried multiple files multiple times and MIDI is not showing as an option.

Is a new license required to update from 7.x to 8.x?

In December 2025, I purchased a license for RipX version 7.x. My RipX installation is now offering an update to version 8.0.3, and I would like to know whether installing this update requires purchasing a new license.

Auto-Scrolling / Playhead Follow

Is there a way to disable playhead following when playing your rip? I just downloaded the new v.8 the other day, expecting this option to finally be added, and still can't find it. It's absolutely infuriating to continue losing your place when trying to edit a rip because the screen keeps moving. Am I missing it somewhere or is it somehow still not implemented (like every other DAW) yet?

Note playback stutters

When clicking the first note and immediately clicking the second note, the beginning of the second note’s playback stutters. However, if I wait for the first note to finish playing before clicking, there is no stutter. As a result, when quickly clicking a series of notes, stuttering occurs multiple times.

Last month, I tried the 7.5.1 version for 21 days, and I remember not encountering the issue described above during the trial.

After the trial ended, I purchased the standard version of Ripx DAW, and version 8.0.0 was released around the same time. After updating, I noticed this problem. I thought it might be an issue with the standard version, so I activated the upgrade trial, but the problem persisted.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as using the repair option in the application installation interface, but none of these resolved the issue.

I am using a laptop with a Windows 11 system, NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and Ripx DAW is installed in the default directory.

Additionally, I activated the upgrade trial last week, which was supposed to expire yesterday, but today I see it still has 7 days of trial time left. What is going on with this?

Harmony Plus Combo Question

Is there a way to isolate or solo just the created harmony and not hear the original vocal it was created from?

Open without ripping

Is there a way to import files into the RipX workspace without ripping? If I already have isolated multitrack files I don't need to rip anything. Ripping is great for separating voice and instruments from a mixed song but if I already have the separate tracks there is no need to wait for a rip. I can open a wave file in Sound Forge in seconds but to rip it in RipX takes minutes.
