Separate Music into all instruments and vocals?

When splitting stems I usually prefer just two stems: all instruments in one stem and the vocal in another.

In RipX DAW, I can only find a way to split each instrument into its own stem, plus a vocal stem. So I get a bass stem, a guitar stem, a strings stem, etc.

Is there a way to get all the instruments in one stem file and the vocals in a 2nd stem file?

MIDI not showing as export option

Perhaps I'm making an error...is there an export scenario where it would be expected that MIDI is not given as an option? I've tried multiple files multiple times and MIDI is not showing as an option.

Is a new license required to update from 7.x to 8.x?

In December 2025, I purchased a license for RipX version 7.x. My RipX installation is now offering an update to version 8.0.3, and I would like to know whether installing this update requires purchasing a new license.

Auto-Scrolling / Playhead Follow

Is there a way to disable playhead following when playing your rip? I just downloaded the new v.8 the other day, expecting this option to finally be added, and still can't find it. It's absolutely infuriating to continue losing your place when trying to edit a rip because the screen keeps moving. Am I missing it somewhere or is it somehow still not implemented (like every other DAW) yet?

Note playback stutters

When clicking the first note and immediately clicking the second note, the beginning of the second note’s playback stutters. However, if I wait for the first note to finish playing before clicking, there is no stutter. As a result, when quickly clicking a series of notes, stuttering occurs multiple times.

Last month, I tried the 7.5.1 version for 21 days, and I remember not encountering the issue described above during the trial.

After the trial ended, I purchased the standard version of Ripx DAW, and version 8.0.0 was released around the same time. After updating, I noticed this problem. I thought it might be an issue with the standard version, so I activated the upgrade trial, but the problem persisted.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as using the repair option in the application installation interface, but none of these resolved the issue.

I am using a laptop with a Windows 11 system, NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and Ripx DAW is installed in the default directory.

Additionally, I activated the upgrade trial last week, which was supposed to expire yesterday, but today I see it still has 7 days of trial time left. What is going on with this?

RipX Daw incredibly slow

RipX has suddenly became extremely slow to rip songs.
I've removed folders in users\ and in \Roaming

I've reinstalled (didn't ask me to activate though...)

I've reinstalled nVidia Cuda Toolkit

CPU: Core i7 10700k

Ram: 32gb

GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti

Plenty of space with m.2 drive

The song’s intro gets deleted

I want to rip the song YYZ by RUSU, but I can’t get it to work properly.

The intro of this song has a rhythm part played on cymbals, and then the main track starts. When I try to rip it, the initial cymbal part gets cut off, and the rip starts only from the following section of the song. Is there a way to prevent that from happening?

I suspect it’s because of the volume difference, so the initial cymbal part might not be recognized as part of the track.

Enhancement Request: A Rip Too Far - Allow Cancel request to open Rip

My Ripx DAW (v7.5.1) will allow a maximum of 3 Rips to be open simultaneously. If I try to open a 4th Rip, I will get a prompt to save or not save one of the open Rip files (the file is named, I'm guessing first opened?). There is no option to "Cancel" the request to open an additional Rip file.

The problem with this implementation is that I don't always remember the changes I may have made to the file that the prompt requests to save AND there is no opportunity to review the named file prior to making the decision to save or not save the changes. The pop-up window with the request to save/not save the file should also include an option to cancel the request to open the new file (and thereby give me the opportunity to review the Rip that will be saved/not saved).

I have a RTX5090 and I installed CUDA 12.8 ToolKit but RipX says GPU Hardware Acceleration is not available. I uninstalled it and installed CUDA 11.0 ToolKit, but it gives an error when it starts processing, I found the following error via the log file:

I tried manually updating the RipX built-in environment, but found that the built-in Python version is 3.7.2, torch-2.7.0+cu128 minimum required Python version is 3.9.I hope the built-in Python can be updated and support NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, thanks!

Enhancement Request: Filter control on Rips panel to show only OPEN rips

Hello - This is an enhancement request. It would be very convenient to have a "filter" control at the top of the Rips panel (next to the search "magnifying glass" control) that would filter the Riplist for those Rips that are currently open. It's tedious to scroll up and down when you are working with Rips that are at the beginning and end of a long riplist. Thanks!
