(More information about this can be found at the bottom of page 6 of the manual which can be opened from RipX DAW’s Help menu.)

In your screenshot, the Layers Panel appears to be closed. Does it open if you click on 'Layers' in the Panels menu?

The mute and solo are still missing, when I hover over one the stems it starts playing back (always from the start) and when I click on the stem it has no effect on the selection / highlight in the working window.

Had it fixed with a uninstall and reinstall, but now mute/solo and sliders disappeared again as well as the chords. Will try again.

I use ripXpro. Working myself through the here given procedures listed by David Dave did help and solve the problem. 

I just want to let you know, that this is not a single case, but could happen to others as well. 😀

I have carried these out and the missing mute/solo/slider functionality in the 'Layers' UI area has returned. All good.
