Just started using RipX and I have to say, it's pretty impressive! I'm hearing lyrics and instrument parts better than I ever have. Makes it so much easier to analyze a song and figure out the different instrument parts.
One huge hassle, though, is the lack of file type supports for importing music. Most of my library seems to be in an m4a format. And, I've used some free online converters to make mp3s to work with, but am hoping that someone might have a recommendation for a standalone converter- or a different workflow.
Thanks for your feedback. Only the macOS version of RipX supports M4A files. However, you can batch convert them into MP3s with a free program called Audacity. To open M4A files with Audacity on Windows, you'll need to download and install the optional FFmpeg library. More information can be found on their website/forum.
David,
Thank you for the quick response! I purchased the license for RipX, and installed it on my Windows PC- can I also install it on my iMac with the same key or is that a violation of the EULA?
That will give the ability to not have to convert files and use my library more easily.
Thanks!
That's not a problem - each RipX license can be activated on up to two of your own computers (PC or Mac).
