Is a new license required to update from 7.x to 8.x?

In December 2025, I purchased a license for RipX version 7.x. My RipX installation is now offering an update to version 8.0.3, and I would like to know whether installing this update requires purchasing a new license.

It's a free update for all owners of a previous version.

Thank you for the quick answer. I was a little confused because some vendors refer to new major versions of software as an “upgrade” and require the purchase of a new license.
