Hi!
RipX has suddenly became extremely slow to rip songs.
I've removed folders in users\ and in \Roaming

I've reinstalled (didn't ask me to activate though...)

I've reinstalled nVidia Cuda Toolkit

CPU: Core i7 10700k

Ram: 32gb

GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti

Plenty of space with m.2 drive

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties. Please could you answer the following questions:

  1. Which version of Windows are you using?
  2. Were there any changes to your computer just before it started being slow?
  3. How long does it now take to Rip an audio file?
  4. Is it extremely slow with all files, including short ones?

1. Latest version

2. I can't recall doing anything, I think KB5068781 was installed in between (I rebooted since).

3. I didn't check from start to finish, usually it took under 10min. now it takes an hour or so.

4. Files are 3 to 5 minutes, flac and mp3 boht have the issue.

I'll try to remove KB5068781 and reboot and retry to see if it helps

Please could you try the following:

  1. Uninstall RipX DAW and Hit’n’Mix Infinity (if installed) from Control Panel,
  2. Delete the folder called ‘Hit'n'Mix’ within ‘C:\Program Files’,
  3. In File Explorer, open the ‘Layout and view options’ menu (the second menu from the right), click ‘Show’ and then on 'Hidden items' if it isn't already checked,
  4. Delete the folder called 'Hit'n'Mix Shared' within 'C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Hit'n'Mix', where <username> is the name you use to log on to your computer,
  5. If there are any Rip files within ‘Documents\RipX\Rips’ that you wish to keep, copy them to another location,
  6. Delete the folder called RipX within your Documents folder,
  7. Restart your computer,
  8. Install and open RipX DAW 7.5.1,
  9. If there were any Rip files that you copied to another location, move them into the new ‘Documents\RipX\Rips’ folder that has been created,
  10. Drag & drop the Rip files from that folder onto RipX DAW to display them in the Rips Panel.
