I ripped an entire album (appx 10 songs) and after closing out RipX the application will no longer start. Instead it opens and has a spinning wheel and simply says "Not Reponding".

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Uninstalling, renaming the %Appdata%/Hit'n'Mix folder and my rips folder to something else and reinstalling but the application will still no longer start. (This is in Windows 11)

How can I get RipX to work again? I have a paid license, but due to this I'm no longer able to use the software.

I'm sorry to hear that you’re experiencing difficulties. Please could you answer the following questions:

1) How much available space do you have on your C: drive?

2) Which version number of RipX DAW are you using?  (For example, is it version 7.0.2?)

3) Do you have any programs installed that could be taking control over your Documents folder, such as OneDrive or Dropbox?

4) Do you have controlled folder access enabled? More information about this can be found on the following page of Microsoft’s website:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender-endpoint/enable-controlled-folders?view=o365-worldwide

Information (See my update below)

1) My C drive has 697GB free.

2) RipX version is 7.0.2, based on installer name (RipXDAW_702)

3) Documents folder is manged by OneDrive (which is a Windows 11 default). Onedrive has appx 1 TB available. I have my RipX however set to use my D drive (USB attached storage). There is 725GB available in that folder/drive.

4) Controller folder access is set to off.

Update: ISSUE RESOLVED

I ran sysinternals processmonitor and filtered for ripx.exe. I noticed that it kept reading in the file C:\Users\myuser\OneDrive\Documents\RipX\RipLists\RipList.riplist over and over again. This file is only 66Kb, but it kept reading it.

I renamed the RipX folder under documents RipX-old and restarted the program. It now loads as it should, so I think I'm good.

I'm glad to hear it's now working. It's possible there was an issue with OneDrive preventing RipX DAW from reading one of the files it needs to access.
