Hi,

Am I right in finding that it is possible to set only one key/mode for each layer?  For example, when setting the key for one group of notes in a layer, it will also change the key for all the other notes/groups of notes in that same layer.

And does the same apply for setting the key using the master layer? I can't seem to set the key for a section of the music, say, 10 bars, then set a different key for the next 10 bars.

Information on how to do this can be found on page 21 of the manual, beneath 'Edit pitch over a musical scale'. (The manual can be opened from RipX DAW's Help menu.)

@dave I'm reading this manual but it isn't working:

file:///C:/Program%20Files/Hit'n'Mix/RipX/DAW/Resources/RipX%20DAW%20Manual.pdf

When Selecting a key and then a barline what happens is the whole layer (or layers) is set to the target key, not just the bars ahead of the selected abrline, as the manual says should happen.

Can you confirm if this manual is up to date, and it is possible to do what I am trying to do? I need to set different keys at different points in the song.

Once a scale has been set from the Scale menu below the bottom-left corner of the Rip, you should see the word Scale when placing the mouse pointer below any bar line. By clicking on that, you should be able to set a different scale for all bars after that bar line only.

If this isn't working for you, please could you send us a message via https://hitnmix.com/contact/ so that we can arrange for you to send us a copy of your Rip file.
