Time stretching to the beat grid

Hello HitNmix peeps,

How do I time stretch my sample to a detected uneven beat grid, like one can do in Abelton or Rekordbox. As in.. I want to rip a sample into stems and retime it to the grid so I can then use a sample that was not recorded with a metronome/drum machine, and mix it to other music with a steady beat.

Thanks

Rafal

I've worked it out it's quantize time set to 1/4 for most music

1/4 in my test cases created jarring artefacts. Using the percent feature was better as it appeared to move the notes rather than time-stretching a bar.

What I can't work out is how to set the start of a bar? The manual says: "A bar line can be moved by clicking & dragging the handle beneath it." For the hell pf me I can't find this.. My workaround has been to use 'shift time'.

The start of the Rip is set by positionng the first two bar lines. (Bar lines can be repositioned by clicking & dragging the tops of them.) Once both of them are in the correct place, the start should be as well. Subsequent bar lines update automatically so it's best to start with the first and work forwards through the Rip.

I've found it. Thanks Dave

i.e. Bar lines can be repositioned by clicking and dragging the tops of them next to their bar number.

What does the 'equalise bar lengths' script do please. I does not appear to change anything for me?

Equalize Bar Lengths stretches/shrinks all bars so that they're the same length as bar 2. This won't have any effect if all bar lines are evenly spaced.
