Hello! I'm a Big fan of what you people at HinMix are doing; RipX is a great example of computer science turned into something magical. 🤩
I wanted to share my workflow when Remixing: I would typically isolate the vocals and build a new arrangement around it. I might take out my guitar, open up an arpeggiator, or Band-In-A-Box.
What tends to be the most challenging part for me in that workflow, is identifying the chords. Ideally they would be in a MIDI file that I could import in Band In A Box or drive an arpeggiator with.
I noticed in RipX that the guitar layers show the chords at the top. But I did not find a way to export the chords in MIDI format. Also the piano layers don't seem to have chords either.
I guess if I had a wish at this point, it might be an altogether "chords" layer that would be extracted from the the whole Rip and could be exported as MIDI notes. I don't know if that would be useful to other users.
Melodyne has something like that. When you open audio, there's a "lane" up-top that shows the identified chords and it's possible to to export them to a MIDI file.
So I'm throwing this idea.
Please do keep up the good work. 🙂
Thanks for reading!

Thanks for your feedback! I've passed it on to our development team.
I'm still fairly new to RipX, but here's some precisions on my wish for a midi note exportable chord "layer" or something like that.
I figure the chords could be derived from the 'other' stem. Like if I transfer the 'other' layers to the guitar layer, the derived chords make sense. I only wish I could export them to a MIDI file as notes. 🙂
Thank you for your time! 🙂
