Hi -

I can mute and unmute layers and select them etc.

Suddenly, although the guitar layer is showing, and I can select notes on it, and apparently play them, there is no sound.

The other layers are fine.

It doesnt matter if I solo the guitar layer, or try to play it with other layers.

Closing and opening the program didnt help either

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties. Please could you answer the following questions:

  1. Which version of your computer's operating system do you have installed?
  2. Which version number of RipX DAW are you using? (For example, is it version 7.1.0?)
  3. Are you able to play back other layers in the same Rip that aren't muted?
  4. Are you able to play back other Rips?
  5. Do you experience this issue if you select different playback devices inside RipX DAW's Preferences?
  6. Do you have another DAW running at the same time as RipX DAW that could be taking control over the playback device?

Please could you send us a message via https://hitnmix.com/contact/ so that we can arrange for you to send us a copy of the Rip file. Please ask for your support case to be transferred to David Dawe.

Hi David - thanks, but I think I will persevere and see if the problem re-occurs.

I just wanted to find out if there was something I was missing (being a newb).

But the file has not been worked on enough to bother me in losing the changes. All I really had done to it was remove a bit of vocal upper mess, and try to copy one section of vocal chorus to a second chorus, when I got stuck trying to figure out what was going on.

If it happens again I will come back here and let you know.

While I have your attention tho 🙂 are there any videos of cleaning up Suno vocal muddiness that you could point me to?
