Brand new user to RipX DAW Pro.
I saved a song (about 8 minutes long) on my MPC to a USB thumb drive as a .wav file.
When I tried to open it in RipX, it gave me a checksum error. The same error popped up several times while it was loading, and two more times when I started to rip it.
Once it was done ripping, everything seemed to work correctly, but I noticed the Percussion layer had no notes, even though there was definitely audible music when I soloed the layer.
I opened the .wav in my MPC again, and slightly edited it (trimmed a few seconds of silence from the beginning and end) and went through the entire process again. I got the same results (including the same chunk.ckid and data offset - see attached snip). The only difference was the cksize (which I would expect).
Any idea what's going on?
Please could you send us a message via https://hitnmix.com/contact/ so that we can arrange for you to send us a copy of the WAV file and look into this.
Done. Thank you.
In the meantime, I will try to find time to extract other .wav files from my MPC and see how they respond.
Any advice on how I can analyze the file and find that specific area of cheksum failure?
We'll be able to advise further once we've had a look at the WAV file.
