Is there a way to import files into the RipX workspace without ripping? If I already have isolated multitrack files I don't need to rip anything. Ripping is great for separating voice and instruments from a mixed song but if I already have the separate tracks there is no need to wait for a rip. I can open a wave file in Sound Forge in seconds but to rip it in RipX takes minutes.
In addition to separating instruments, the ripping process converts audio into the Rip format so that its individual notes, sounds and harmonics can be viewed inside RipX DAW. For this reason, it is not possible to open audio files with RipX DAW without ripping. However, you can turn off the instrument separation by unchecking 'Separate Instruments' in the Ripper options dialog box.
If the name of the file contains an instrument name (such as 'voice' or 'guitar'), RipX DAW will automatically offer to rip it as a stem, avoiding the need to specify this in the Ripper options.
